MANUFACTURING & ASSEMBLY
Responsible for all aspects of in-house tool manufacturing, maintenance, development and testing activities to ensure the business objectives are met, to maximise productivity and maintain the highest levels of workmanship for all tooling activities.
Oversee all work through the tool room efficiently and cost effectively and ensure that all target dates for tooling are met.
Manufacture new tools from technical drawings to a high level of workmanship and in an efficient, cost effective manner.
Provide quotations for new tooling, modifications and repairs.
CAD and CNC programming will be required.
Ensure all stock items, tool inserts and spares are organised.
Support production and engineering with tooling/technical problems.
Understand injection moulding processes
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings
Excellent machining skills, milling, grinding, drilling, CNC
Produce bespoke part for production machinery
Jig manufacture, modification and repair
Experience as a Tool Maker in an injection moulding environment
Full skilled and apprentice trained in Tool Making
Work to engineering drawings.
Be innovative in terms of problem solving.
Knowledge of machining to tolerances using various methods.
Competent in: Manual milling, drilling, turning, surface grinding, MiG welding.
Experience of managing staff
Experience of Microsoft Office packages; word, excel, PowerPoint, IQMS
