Contechs are recruiting on behalf of their client whose mission is to drive technological advancements within the mobility sector. They are seeking an experienced Senior Body Exterior Designer who has a strong back of Catia V5 and Body exterior experience.

Job Description

As Body Exterior Designer your main responsibilities are:

• Experience in lightweight body design and materials technology including plastics, and ideally carbon fibre
• Coordinate with Principal Engineers and Project Managers to ensure technical targets, program timings and budgetary requirements are met
• Ensure designs meet all relevant safety and regulatory requirements, and are formally verified to meet these and other specifications

Qualifications / Skills needed

• 5+ years of automotive Catia V5 design experience
• Experience in either Composite body panels, Exterior glazing, Bumper systems, Grilles & Meshes
• Design and Release of Body systems
• Basic mechanical, material and production knowledge
