Position Title: Desktop Administrator

Duration: Contract

Location: Herengracht, Amsterdam

Position
- Responds to and resolves Level 1, and in some cases Level 2 IT support tickets regarding desktops and user applications
- Helps develop IT tools and processes to promote efficient and effective end user support practices
- Assists in documentation of IT knowledgebase for internal IT use, or broader employee reference, as appropriate
- Sets up new user accounts and workstations
- Teaches new employees basics around relevant IT systems
- Deploys, maintains and supports office technology - such as printers, video conference units, digital whiteboards
- Collaborates with remote IT team members to build and maintain positive, productive team relationships
- Develops positive relationships with the business and other functions involved in downstream technical processes

Requirement
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Ideally knowledge of supporting users with Dassault CATIA V6 and Enovia
- Knowledge supporting users with Zoom / Slack
- Network switch, firewall and VPN technologies
- Windows operating system family (Windows 10)
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Exchange
- You should possess excellent organisational and communication skills to work effectively face to face, on the telephone and via email
- Passion for Customer Support - A drive to help end users get what they need to do their jobs the best they can. A sense of satisfaction from helping end users get what they need in a timely manner
- Prioritization Skills - The ability to analyse support requests, and prioritize them based on impact
- Discipline - The discipline to actively manage help desk tickets and internal IT tasks, without getting distracted by email, chat or other ad-hoc communication
- Self-Starter - The ability to actively look for effective tasks to complete in times of low tickets
- IT certifications or higher education preferred
- Flexible for some travel - but not internationally, more within Netherlands potentially 2 hours away to another site.
