Position Title: Lead Project Engineer
Duration: Contract
Location: Remote
• As a Lead Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of the team with responsibility for delivery of components and systems within the areas of BIW / Exterior Trim and Interior Trim.
• The scope of the role covers cradle to grave ownership from concept generation & initial project planning to implementation into Production
Skills and Experience:
• 5+ years of experience within the automotive (OEM / Tier 1)
• Proven knowledge of design and development processes including engineering best practices to successfully develop and launch a vehicle into production.
• Experience in either BIW / Exterior Trim and Interior Trim.
• Ability to report to senior management and report accurate information in a clear and concise manner
• Strong knowledge of supplier processes, manufacturing and standards
• A solid understanding of the first-principle physics of your system – the loads, forces, overall function of the system and key attributes including knowledge of Engineering Simulation and Analysis tools and processes
• Possess a detailed understanding of the manufacturing materials and processes utilized to produce your components
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of integrity
• PC literate and proficient with the use of MS Office products
• An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a team – specifically this means active brainstorming, working on components that are not part of your commodity and sharing models as required to support the changing needs of an evolving vehicle and work environment
