Position Title: IT Functional Support Specialist

Duration: 9 Month Rolling Contract

Position Description:
• A Business Engagement Lead for each IT Domain (4 + Enterprise and Infrastructure) is required to join an exciting IT & Digital programme, transforming the IT Estate across alll key markets and Domains as part of the Clients’ Reimagine Strategy.
• This exciting opportunity will require working in a multi-organisations landscape to provide oversight of the functional aspects of the transformation, ensuring the remediation activity is communicated and planned with the Domains to ensure 100% alignment around any support required (eg UAT) and to secure outage windows.
• This will ensure the Domains can plan for these events appropriately and secure their support and engagement during the sprint events.
• The 4 IT Domains that face off to the respective Business Domains are: Corporate Services (eg HR, Finance, Purchasing), Commercial (eg Retail and Supplier apps), Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain and Product Engineering.
• There is a 5th Domain (Enterprise and Infrastructure) and a decision will be made around who would support that Domain based on the split across the other Domains (some Domains may have less apps than others). Role can be undertaken under hybrid working practices, however attendance on sites at either Gaydon or Whitley, or our partner site (TCS) in Leamington Spa should be expected 1-2 days a week as a minimum.

Skills Required:
• Experience in a wide range of IT and Digital centric projects and programmes, delivering Transformational Business change within the context of remediating legacy applications and associated infrastructure to being up to supported levels.
• Demonstrable experience of acting as the accountable business engagement authority on major projects and programmes, working with multiple partners in each respective IT Domain and providing the communication, planning and support to enable testing and the approval of outage change windows to support the remediation cutover windows
• Previous remediation programme experience.
• Provide support and participate in organisation of testing activities
• Provide ongoing assistance to build teams and Domains for functionality released into production Manage conflicts, issues and risks to optimise the solution and ensure alignment to scope "

Experience Required:
• Has evidence of holding overall accountability of major projects and programmes, which include an eco-system of partners and is able to build relationships and influence partners, ideally in the context of remediating applications and associated infrastructure in the automotive industry.
• Key activies will include: Excellent communication skills and is confident and demonstrates articulate and sound communication skills when engaging Senior Stakeholders
• Influencer at senior level
• Comfort with working across multiple streams in a fast paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment
• Excellent organiser and attention to detail
• Manage / oversee and in some cases execute the functional aspects of the remediation activity e.g. testing (UAT)
• Works as a key point of contact between the programme and the IT Domain and ultimately the Business Domains
• Acts as an escalation point of contact and support during build, testing and cutover activity
• Supports obtaining suitable test windows and resource for testing. Works with business to enable them to plan and resource appropriately.
• Works with business to agree suitable outage windows for cutover
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
• Build and manage relationships across multi-disciplinary work groups (IT and Business Domains)
• Agree the testing approach with IT and Business Domains
• Act as a knowledge hub between business stakeholders and internal and external delivery teams.

Experience Preferred:
• An appreciation of IT infrastructure change projects and thus an ability to anticipate the type of concerns that should be mitigated through proactive engagement and communication.

Additional Information:
• Experience working within Agile teams to deliver project and familiar with Atlassian tools, specifically Jira and Confluence.
