Position Title: Engineering Project Manager

Duration: Contract

Location: Slovakia / Poland

- Role of EPM is to manage engineering activities on project, which are mainly linked to product design, geometry, validation and injection process implementation.
- EPM responsibilities on project during development and industrialization phase consists mainly of:
- Management of the project in line with project engineering objectives linked to D&D hours budget, investment budget (mainly injection tools, checking fixtures, validation equipment etc.), timing, PRU convergence and quality
- Ensures cross functional management of his/her extended team
- Ensures communication and contact with customer linked to product development and validation
- Ensure RETEX and lessons learned

KPI and/or main deliverables:
- OPTIMAP work packages
- Budget hours, CNQ (Cost of Non Quality)
- Product convergence (CTQ) and tools PRU convergence (IPI: scraps, cycle time-)


Product design & validation:
- Work according to HSE requirements
- Can be involved in upstream phases of the project (expertise phase, acquisition phase)
- Analyse Customer Needs and Draw-up PO Specifications
- Define the concepts of the product design to meet customers specifications and GD&T and ensure that the design for manufacturing (assembly, paint & packaging) are fulfilled
- Is the main technical contact with the customer during the design & tuning phases
- Is responsible for providing functional specifications for baby parts
- Manage and perform risk analysis (DFMEA + Design reviews)
- Manage Specifications, manufacturing and validation of the means (injection tools, checking fixtures, test jigs, End Of Arm Tooling)
- Manage Product validation (functional, geometry and cosmetic quality)
- Manage Product tuning (mould tuning, checking fixture tuning)
- Participate to capitalization and to productivity actions
- At the end of the project, participate to the closure of project and gives feedback regarding best practices and difficulties

Project Management:
- Define initial Statement of Work of product engineering perimeter including extended team, regarding project perimeter, development budget (hours) and Optimap Work Packages
- Define and set up the engineering project planning
- Manage the engineering project reviews, consolidates actions and provides reporting and action plans
- Participate to QUAD (product & process feasibility milestones) reviews
- Track perimeter changes and reports to the PM
- Proposes adjustments and modifications linked to perimeter evolution during project life time

Budget management:
- Ensure product PRU commitment for the design relevant criteria
- Allocate budget to his extended team
- Ensure the follow up of project budget and escalade in case of deviation
- Determine internal and external perimeter versus SOW
- Contribute to investment optimization through part design

Competences requirements:
- Bachelor-s with experience or Master-s degree
- Leadership, able to make clear synthesis, organized, rigorous, good communication, English, project management skills
- Design and/or development of plastic parts for automotive industry
