Position Title: Technical Author - Automotive

Duration: Contract

Location: Surrey/WFH


Essential Criteria:
• Technical author
• Good understanding of automotive engineering
• Full vehicle
• Detailed understanding of chassis
• Steering, suspension, brakes, chassis components
• Able to construct technical specifications
• Full system documentation, specification, validation

Nice to Have Criteria:
• We are seeking a Technical Author to join the business Reporting to the Chassis engineering manager
• Support discussions between groups to ensure consistent approach to testing / specification and the documentation of an agreed approach
• Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension, write, and edit technical information accordingly.
• Produce and edit graphics, illustrations, and charts to aid understanding and complement complex written information
• Demonstrable experience in delivering high quality engineering documentation, preferably within the Automotive industry
• Working knowledge of specification / validation and testing methods and techniques
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills - particularly Word
• Self-starting attitude and ability to balance priorities
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
